Thank you for the help
Wow it's worked again, Thankyou so much!
Nalz, I am glad you liked the video. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Is the editing software free ?
Rip, there is a paid version, but I only use the free one. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.
I’m looking to buy a circuit machine I’m new to all This Wich machine u guys recommend ?
Going to the School of Realism this Fall for two weeks, taking two courses back to back. Also got Dru's Custom Micron Takumi airbrush with the "hair trigger" mod.
CS, I was down there a couple of years ago. I had a great experience. Dru and the staff were great and of course I learned a lot. I would like to visit again when life allows. Oh, and I bout my Micron Takumi with the soft spring and trigger from Dru when I was there. It's my favorite brush. Have a great time.
wonderful channel!!
Love to see how you use the moss green with this system
I wish you show how you made the stencils to get the neg and pos on the cricut design space
Andrew, I purchased this stencil online, I see it is no longer available, but I do have a video on the channel that shows how to layer in Design Space. Check it out if you get a chance. Thanks for watching.
I’m running a framing gun with it and it works fine I was worried about it not handling it but now everybody is jealous and boiling with hate and envy at work.they laughed at me the first day I showed up with it pointing at it and at me saying I was a fool but they have nothing to say now days
Cool! I'm glad you like it. Thanks for dropping me a comment, and thanks for watching.
Wow this really helped me a lot and I now can get things done! Thanks
Harry, I am glad you liked the video. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Great explanation. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am interested in making siloettes of different animals.
Tom, this machine is perfect for that. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Thank you 🙏🏻
I use Fantastik cleaner cut with tap water 70% water in a spray bottle. This works great for clean up (and thins decently, too) with all my Createx paints. Saves me shit-ton of $.
Tucson, I do not subscribe to the homemade concoctions, but if you like it and it works for you, that's all that matters. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
thanks for the class , have u done a Canadian flag ? if so would love to see it
Mr. B. I have not, but I will. Thanks for the Idea.
I been making music when I was 5 years old
Yknow I've looked at the 4011 thinner and I'm not sure the numerous on the cleaner and they're both exactly the same as far as what they're made of , don't know if they have any ingredients not listed but what they do list are the same even the same ratio of the listed ingredients...they are also differently priced.....what gives? I just buy whatever of the two is cheaper , whether it's reducer or clnr.
Scott, I have never used the cleaner. I use the 4011 as my reducer and cleaner. The 4011 is compatible with all of the createx paints. Just stick with that and forget the rest. Keep it simple. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.
I totally agree about the pros and cons.
Thanks for the comment, Deputy, and thanks for watching.
@TheAirbrushGarage The needle and nozzle not being marked is off the charts frustrating. Even an empty tube marked with the different needle/nozzle sets would help simplify matters. Hopefully Gaalheri can solve this issue quickly.
My cricuit "freezes" part way through cutting. I've tried troubleshooting several times, but won't work. (flashing red button) getting so frustrated! Is my machine too old? Any suggestions? Thanks!
T5, I have never experienced that. I would reack out to Cricut directly. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
your videos are brilliant - as an airbrush beginner (and bubbles in the cup is what I experience almost every time I start a session) it is really helping me out.
KG, I am glad you are enjoying the channel. Thanks for dropping me a comment, and thanks for watching.
Yes it does have a shelf life I don't care what he says. If you let it set for years, in my case 8 years, without using it, it becomes unusable. If you want to extend the shelf life, you can shake the paint to keep it mixed in the bottle. I bought a paint shaker from Amazon for airbrush paint. Every 3 months, I shake every bottle that I haven't used. Never buy more paint than you actually use, and remember, mixing paint can be done with 3 colors.
CS, shaking the paint sounds like solid advice. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the comment, and thanks for watching.
big help thanks
What did you do to those shin guards?
Very observant William. I actually wound up not painting them.
This video was very helpful! However, I would have loved a comparison with the Createx textile paints as well.
Mario, I am glad to hear you liked the video. However, I can't speak on the textile paints as I have never used them. It's just not the type of airbrush I do. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Great information and great video. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks, Bob.
Hi Dan, Thank you for your very informative videos, they have helped me immensely. I am brand new to airbrush painting and currently just paint stencils of American flag, we the people, etc. I have the Passche Talon TG that came with the fan nozzle. Can you suggest what size tip would be best for my application and any information on using the fan nozzle? Thank you in advance, Bob Johns
Bob, I'm sorry for the delayed response, I thought I had responded to you. I think a .3 or .35 needle is perfect for that type of work. I don't really see the need for the fan tip unless i am flooding in a larger background. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching.
I've only ever cut vinyl with my Silhouette, so my blades stay good for a long time. How much wear and tear does the mylar do to the blades?
Rachel, I am not sure of the exact ware and tear, but my blades last a very long time. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.
Enjoying the video, I airbrushed for a good decade but was stuck workingo n black or dark backgrounds. I am trying to expand my skill to white background as its a completely different approach.
CB, I am glad you are enjoying the video. Thanks for dropping me a comment, and thanks for watching.
I love your videos ,as a beginner and I HAVE WATCHED 1000 of airbrush videos ,you are number 1 ,cheers from Australia
Thank you, Belle. I am glad you are enjoying the channel. Thanks for watching.
I could only watch the first few minutes.... Whatever airbrush "smarts" you may posses, your spraying with fairly good looking artwork just behind the easel, undoubtedly being hit with over spray, nullifies any "goodness" that this video may have tried to convey...."Skills", maybe, "Common sense", not a lick................
Great review!
Thanks, Jesus. I appreciate the feedback, and thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. Was thinking to help you crease the cardboard for your filter.Maybe use a pizza cutter to crease cardboard first with straight edge then fold over your level.
Viper, that is a really good idea. Thanks for sharing that, and thanks for watching.
3 June 24 bought my 1 gal compressor Fortress ultra quiet and it is. It's for small jobs but I was amazed on how quiet it is. It runs well and refills quick.
Thanks for the comment, TH. I appreciate it, and thanks for watching.
It’s 0.7 mm not 7mm
Trevor. mm and mils are not the same. A mil is measured in thousands of an inch (.001") things such as paper and paint thickness are measured in mils.
Thank you so much.Greetings from Greece.
PS, I am glad you are enjoying the channel. Greece! I love it!. My grandparents are from Italy 🇮🇹 and my last name is Cuccurullo, can't much more italian than that. Lol 100%. Thanks for dropping me a comment, and thanks for watching.
Thanks, I'm going to put flames on my Honda Accord coupe

thank you
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Cool. Congrats to your son. If he makes a career out of it, he will be retired before he's 50! Good for him.
Hey Dan it’s Marc hope the family and you are doing awesome!! I have a question and I don’t trust no one but you !!!!! I see these videos about using spray paint out of the can putting it into a bottle and using it in your airbrush I’m so gun shy I LOVE MY CUSTOM MICRON AND MY IWATA TAKUMI if I ruin these my wife will shoot me with my own gun and then ask me to reload and shoot me more !! and I just wanted to know have you ever used this technique and does it cause risk to your O rings or your nozzles ? Thanks a million buddy hope to hear from you soon Sincerely Marc ( EL PADRE AIRBRUSH )
EPA, I have never done that. It won't cause any damage to the brush, and the needle packing is solvent resistant. As long as you clean the brush before it dries in the gun, it should be fine. I would just prefer to use my Createx. Lol
@@TheAirbrushGarage me to my friend the only way I would use this method is if I ran out of a color and I was doing something for a client so yeah I’ll just stick with my cretex paints also thanks a million Dan hope you and yours have a great summer and a AWSOME forth of July ! My son graduated and enlisted for 6 yrs in the Air Force he leaves august 12 so moms babying him so thanks again and can’t wait till new videos come out how about a video on tru fire ? Thank buddy Marc
What's the actual shelf life of Createx paint? I just tested an unopened 8 year old bottle of Createx Transparent and Illustration colors through a brand new Iwata airbrush. It did not end well. This is paint that sat on the shelf, was never opened, never shook up except right before putting in the airbrush, for 8 years. So I know for a fact its less than 8 years. But I wonder what the actual shelf life is.
CF. I have had paint, sit longer than that, and used it with no issue and I have had paint that sat less than that, and it got thick and clumpy. I have had paint stored in a garage, and when I lived in PA it was exposed to freezing temps and some of the paint went bad and some didn't. So I'm not sure what the answer is, but if you reach out to Createx, they should take care of it. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this information, I was going to buy other blades since my machine didn’t cut through the mylar i have. Now i kniw to test it first like you showed
if i were to turn the motor on and use it as a air duster for cleaning a pc how long will it give me air for
About a minute thirty
very helpful will be using your info b
The other brush you talk about with the siphon cup can be used with a gravity cup so that's a nonissue. Just buy a gravity side feed cup for it problem solved, you don't have to buy the Takumi. Also a higher trigger gives more leverage for finer control. You swapped it for a lower trigger which will give you less control. I'm using a 40 year old HP-SB with the Takumi gravity side cup adapter and a 2ml Harder & Steenbeck threaded cup on it. I'm also using the Takumi trigger with it. All of these parts are interchangeable. CM Takumis are too expensive especially when they are basically the older brushes with added features nobody uses. Older HPs go for less than $100 on eBay and they are fantastic well made brushes with proper o-ring needle packing for the utmost feel. Airbrush tech has not changed in 100 years
You gotta learn UA-cam code when you watch videos, he said this video is not sponsored. What I hear is Wicked paints isn't directly paying a fee for this video not that they aren't providing free materials or other free perks to encourage him to sell Wicked products!! You always have to listen for what isn't said in videos as much as what is said!!!
MIP. I can appreciate your negativity, but I have used Createx paints for over 20 years before I started making videos. Steve Driscol was an awesome airbrush artist, and his skin tone is still the best and easiest that I have seen to use. It's kind of a shame that's what you got from the video. I make videos because I like to reach and help others. Thanks for watching, though.
They have a 1mm as well and you can put a fan cap on that (T-227-4 & TAF-4). I know most will cringe, but I unscrewed the trigger stop adjustment screw and took a pair of pliers and gently grip the thread perpendical on the thread and then test the screw fit. I did this because I don't like how loose it is and by lightly damaging the thread gives just enough resistance that the screw will stay where you set it.
It's my first time here on your channel. I enjoyed your candor and how comprehensively you covered the topic. I'm still a novice with the airbrush, which I use for miniatures painting. Last night I got some water spraying after a decent session of putting blue on a few dozen models, which made me realize that I hadn't put a moisture trap on this gun, yet. Oops
Yeah, if you have a compressor that gets hot, it will create moisture. You definitely want a water trap, and they are inexpensive. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Ah crap, I've been trying to stop the air flow as quickly as possible after the paint flow, on the basis that the extra air would dry the paint on the tip... It never occurred to me that the extra air is needed to blow the paint away and *prevent* tip dry! How have I missed this? I'm sure I've watched a dozen beginner how to videos before. Cheers @TheAirbrushGarage
Hi Tony. You are not alone. I get that a lot. I am glad you liked the video and found it helpful. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Mine worked really well ... for ... 2 years.
Hello, thank you for the video! I use Createx Illustration colors on synthetic paper and I'm looking for something to make the paint more fluid and fine. Could the reducer 4011 be suitable for my needs? I've been advised against it because it's toxic, is that true?
Hi Daniela. The 4011 is formulated to work across all of the createx lines of paint and is their recommended reducer. I only use the 4011, and its toxicity is very low. You can look up the safety sheets on createx website. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.
Happened to me :)
